Academic Residence
April 2008

Thanks to the generosity of Reinier Evers at Trendwatching.com, OSI has constructed a residence/study room, separate from the main orphanage building, for those children studying for their "Ordinary Level" and "Advanced Level" academic exams.  The large room was previously utilized as a storage room.  The project involved complete refurbishment and painting of the room, and construction of an en-suite bathroom.  The new room provides a quiet, focused environment for our oldest children to reside and study for their final exams (now, and for many years to come).  It also provides them with a small level of independence, to help prepare them for the responsibilities of independent living after the orphanage.

We are confident that our new academic residence room will foster our older children's education and help them substantially to succeed in their O/L and A/L exams, the greatest factor in providing a secure future for them.  Thank you Reinier! (See project photos below)
