Once again, our dear friend right here in Sri Lanka, Sharmila Cassim, has provided an unforgettable day for our Wattegama children.  In August, the children enjoy a one-month break from school.  To celebrate the beginning of their holidays, Ms. Cassim coordinated and funded a full day of activities for the kids, -from hiring a bus to bring them to Colombo, to the morning spent at the impressive Colombo Zoo, to lunch at a wonderful indoor playground-cum-restaurant, closing the day with a visit to their favourite place, -ExcelWorld amusement park.

We left Wattegama home at 4:00am, returning at 9:00 in the evening, -a long and fun-filled day that the kids will not soon forget!  Below are some photos to share the day with you.  Thanks so much to Ms. Cassim for our wonderful day, to Mr. Jagath Navaratne for the wonderful lunch, and to all who assisted with this excursion and provided so much positive attention for these very deserving children (see "Acknowledgements" below).

Acknowledgements

Another huge thank-you to Sharmila Cassim for providing another unforgettable day for our Wattegama kids! -and for ignoring the flu and accompanying them for the entire day...   You are a dear friend!

Thanks also to Mr. Jagath Navaratne for providing his entire "Twiklers" restaurant and family facility and a fantastic lunch, all complimentary, for our children! -and also for the genuine care and attention you shared with them.  Regards to your wonderful staff as well!
