Cabinets for Children

Seeing how much our Wattegama girls appreciated their new storage cabinets, we wished to serve the same need at our Pamunugama home, and donor Jeff Blanford (who is also OSI-Pamunugama site sponsor) generously gave us the means to do so! The Pamunugama sleeping rooms are a bit tight for space, but we provided as many cabinets as we could comfortably fit into the rooms, eight cabinets total. This actually created more space and order in the rooms, as previously the girls' clothes, schoolbooks, and other personal effects were stacked on the floor and draped over clothing wracks. The cabinets provide the girls with cleaner and more secure space for all of their personal belongings, and as at Wattegama, the girls had a remarkably happy time arranging all of their belongings in their new cabinets!
