School Break Celebration

is a school-break month in Sri Lanka, -the kids have the whole month off.
To celebrate this, on the last day of school we had a small excursion and
party for our Pamunugama children. After they had all anxiously
returned from school, we took a pleasant 20-minute walk to the Pamunugama
beach. As close as the kids live to the beach, it is still their
favourite place to go and always exciting for them. After a couple
hours of getting their feet wet and building sand-castles, our chartered
bus arrived to take the kids on a 45-minute drive to McDonald's in
Welisara, where we had arranged a special party and dinner for them.
After dinner and lots of music, dancing, and games, we arrived back at
Pamunugama about 10:00pm with a very happy group of children. Thanks
to our Sri Lankan donor Asanga Seneviratne for making this possible for
our kids! Below are some photos to share our fun evening with you!
